This recipe is the first burger my daughter would eat in a long time, and pretty tasty.
What You Need:
- 1 package frozen tomato-, basil-, and Parmesan cheese-flavor meatless burger patties
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese (about 3 ounces total)
- 2 thin multigrain sandwich rounds or 4 slices whole wheat bread
- 8 - 12 fresh basil leaves
- 4 slices tomato
- Shredded fresh basil (optional)
How to Make It:
- Prepare frozen patties according to package directions. Arrange patties on one side on a large baking sheet. Top with cheese slices. Separate sandwich rounds and place, cut sides up, on the baking sheet with the patties.
- Broil 4 to 5 inches from the heat for 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese is melted and sandwich rounds are toasted. Divide basil leaves among sandwich rounds. Top each with a patty and a tomato slice. If desired, top with shredded basil.

I’m about 60% of the way there on the app..
Challenging myself to make the first version of this thing by Tuesday :)
Currently using it to track my glucose and meds instead of any other apps.
Probably the very last thing will be the notifications / reminders.. The rest will be done pretty quickly.
I’m planning out an app to make for the app store, that is based on the fact that I just can’t get everything I want in one app, so I want people to tell me what they want..
Currently in planning:
- Sugar tracking
- Med tracking
- Med and sugar test reminder
This is something none of the apps have and I find important with my schedule, so rather than setting seperate reminders to do this stuff.. I want the app to alert me when it’s time.
- Carb counting
- Water tracking
- Activity tracking
- Weight tracking
- Blood Pressure tracking
What I want to know is what other features people want to see?
FYI, This will be a free app too, it’s meant to help people, myself included, so I don’t plan to charge money for it.
Still dealing with insurance crap… Ironically, fair pharmacare is discounting my meds but insurance is showing it not active yet.. Waiting for the call to say its all working finally after 3 weeks of this shit (excuse the language)
On another note.. At 60 pounds lost since November so that’s a positive at least..
I just spent the last week dealing with my insurance…
Here in BC, we have something called Fair Pharmacare which means the government will pay for part of your meds after the third refill..
I’ve never had a fair pharmacare number before, so I only found out about it when I went to refill my Crestor prescription and had to pay full price instead of the discounted…
I called and got a number and my wife registered it with our insurance who in turn said all was good, fast forward to a few days later when I try again to get my Crestor, and again discover they haven’t activated my number…
Another day of various phone calls and now all is back to where it was..
Ironically, this never affected my NPH refill that I got at the same time, since anything considered diabetic critical is covered 100% regardless of fair pharmacare of not..
Very frustrating though… :/
